I have been passionate about art from an early age. Mid-twentieth century painters such as Mark Rothko, Robert Rauschenberg and Helen Frankenthaler have greatly influenced my style and the direction of my work. I'm very interested in color relationships, implied texture, ambiguity of layers and quite simply the process of putting paint on canvas! My primary medium is acryilic paint on canvas, accented with oil pastels and the occasional strip of masking tape or whatever else I find that has an interesting texture.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mankato State University in 1997. Since then I continue to exhibit my work at a variety of venues throughout Minnesota.
My work ranges in size from approximately 4" x 4" up to 48" x 60". Prices range from $150 up to $1200. Paintings displayed here are listed in reverse chronological order.
